iPad Tip 49 Text Shortcuts

There’s a great but little used feature in iOS called TextExpander that let’s you create shortcuts for words or phrases you commonly use.

For example if you type “omw” it auto corrects to “On my way”. You can add to this system with your own abbreviations: Go to Settings > General > Keyboard then click on the “+” in the upper right corner. Works when Texting, Facebook and Tweeting.
